Reconnect. Restore. Rekindle. In Sacred Nauvoo

If you're like many faithful Latter-day Saint couples today, you’ve spent decades raising children, building careers, serving in the Church, and caring for others. Now, as the nest empties and life slows down, you're looking at each other and wondering...

  • Where did the spark go?

  • Why do we feel distant, even though we’re still committed?

  • How do we talk without misunderstanding or shutting down?

  • What’s next for us—and how do we move forward stronger together?

  • When our relationship is already good, can we feel even closer?

Welcome to Created 4 Connection,
A One-of-a-Kind 4-Day Retreat Experience in Sacred Nauvoo, IL
Where Your Healing, Reconnection, and Future Begin

Why Nauvoo?

This isn’t just a getaway—it’s a spiritual homecoming.

Come to where covenants were first made, where the Nauvoo Temple stands as a symbol of eternal connection, and where the peaceful Mississippi sunsets and historic sites invite you to slow down, tune in, and feel the Spirit of your ancestors.

Nauvoo is a place of healing. It’s a place where the veil feels thin, and where you can remember who you are—and what your marriage was always meant to be.

Come to Nauvoo – A Place of Peace, Healing, and Eternal Perspective

Nestled along the banks of the Mississippi, Nauvoo offers more than historic charm. It's a sacred space to feel the Spirit, connect to your covenant roots, and receive personal revelation about the most important relationship in your life.

  • Glorious sunsets over the Mississippi

  • Quiet reflection at the Nauvoo Temple

  • The strength of the pioneer spirit that still echoes here

  • The peace to slow down and truly see your spouse again

The tools that we received from this seminar were exceptional. We made an incredible amount of progress.

This workshop helped us to reconnect and finally have real conversations that have helped us to really heal.

My wife and I have been married 50 years and still had some big breakthroughs in understand and being able to work on the emotions that are the underlying reason for our fights. If you are willing to be open, this retreat will change your relationship for the better!

I wish my husband and I took this HMT workshop when we were newlyweds.

We have been married 10 years and came in at the end of our rope. We’re leaving feeling connected, renewed, and for the first time in a long time, hopeful.

Finally we got to the core of our devastating cycle and I have hope.

We have been seeing a counselor for over 18 months and while much progress has been made through our weekly visits, it was hard to see the whole picture with this extended time and an opportunity to see and experience the entire roadmap of EFT.

Going through the HMT "process" has helped my husband and I communicate more effectively. Knowing what the demon dialogue does to us & how to stop our dance has been pivotal to us really letting each other in.

Dr. Conrad was engaging and encouraging to us!

HMT was a great place to open up and really explore our relationship & feelings in a safe & encouraging environment.

If you are open, I guarantee you will learn how to create love and trust in this workshop!

HMT helped us find the core of our relationship difficulty.

I think EVERY couple should do this!

Well worth the time!

More About Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)

What is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)?

Emotionally Focused Therapy is a proven approach to couples counseling that helps partners strengthen their emotional bond and feel more secure, seen, and supported in their relationship. Instead of focusing on surface-level issues or communication techniques alone, EFT gently guides couples to the heart of what’s really going on—often unspoken emotions like fear, hurt, or longing.

Through this process, couples learn how to:

  • Understand and express their deeper emotional needs

  • Recognize and change patterns that lead to disconnection

  • Create a stronger sense of trust, closeness, and connection

EFT is backed by decades of research and has helped thousands of couples move from frustration and distance to greater emotional intimacy. It’s not about blaming or fixing one another—it’s about discovering how to reach for each other in new, healing ways.

More about Process Healing Method (PHM)

The Process Healing Method (PHM), developed by Dr. Garry Flint, is a gentle, heart-centered approach to emotional healing. It helps people identify and release inner blocks—often held just below the surface of awareness—that may be fueling anxiety or creating distance in relationships. By working with the deeper parts of the mind in a respectful and compassionate way, PHM makes space for greater emotional clarity, calm, and connection—both within yourself and with those you love.

Combining these two Powerful Processes

We have come together to combine these two powerful, yet gentle, researched-based methods to help couples in this retreat experience something truly unique and transformational. Oftentimes couples struggle with emotions and raw spots that are under the surface and have an impact that is outside of awareness.  Using the combined understanding and processes of EFT and PHM we will help couples access emotions and beliefs that are blocking the connection process. The conversations and meditations we bring together in the retreat seminar are a powerful combination meant to heal the heart and draw couples closer than they ever thought possible.

You Were Created 4 Connection

Using the groundbreaking work of Dr. Sue Johnson (author of Hold Me Tight and Love Sense) and the powerful healing methods based on Dr. Garry Flint’s Process Healing Method, we combine faith-based principles, modern science, cutting edge healing techniques, and a spiritual environment to help couples like you.

  • Heal past emotional wounds and resentments

  • Learn the science of love and emotional bonding (EFT)

  • Reduce anxiety and emotional triggers that block connection (PHM)

  • Improve communication and emotional safety

  • Rekindle intimacy and affection

  • Deepen spiritual unity and covenant-centered love

  • Come together with immersive activities that strengthen your relationship

Love, hug and senior couple at a park happy, free and enjoy travel, holiday or weekend outdoor. Face, smile and elderly man embrace woman in forest, bond and having fun on retirement trip together

This isn't Therapy. This is transformational learning, spiritual rejuvenation, and emotional reconnection in an immersive experience - at a level that lasts.

Imagine this:

  • Sitting hand-in-hand by the river at sunset, feeling closer than you have in years

  • Learning how to speak your heart in a way your spouse can truly hear—and respond with love

  • Replacing conflict with compassion, silence with connection, and distance with intimacy

  • Experiencing a safe, sacred space where you are seen, loved, and healed

  • Feeling the Spirit whisper peace as you walk the temple grounds or worship side by side

  • Returning home stronger, more secure, and spiritually bonded—ready to lead your family with love and light

Connect to Your Covenant Roots. Strengthen Your Covenant Relationship.

Many of our retreat couples share something else in common: adult children who have strayed from the covenant path.

You want to help. You want to guide. But you feel powerless.

The truth is this: you can’t pour from an empty vessel.

Your connection is the first step in your family’s healing. Your secure, loving relationship can become a beacon of hope—a living witness of Christ’s power to bind, to heal, and to restore. Lead with love. Start with each other.

Grumpy elderly parents condemn and look unkindly after newlyweds. Family conflict, pensioners send their son with girlfriend out of apartment. Dispute discord within family, condemnation and rejection
